Q1. What are your daily rates per person?

A. Guests are charged a flat rate of £25/night to stay which includes full Scottish breakfast in the morning.

Q2. Do you have a weekly or special rate for rooms?

A. We are happy to offer discounts for extended bookings. Currently we charge £150.00 per person for a week's stay at Laight Mill.

Q3. How many people can each room accommodate?

A. Our family room can sleep a maximum of 4 people in 2 very large double beds, while the double room can of course accommodate 2 people.

Q4. What is Robert Burns' connection to Laight Mill?

A. There is a plaque on the outside of Laight Farm's main house commemorating the occasion when Robert visited the farm house.

Q5. What is the maximum number of people that are able to stay at any one time?

A. We are able to accomodate a maximum of 6 people at any one time.

Q6. I have a pet, can I bring him/her?

A. We are very sorry, but we don't have the facility to accommodate guest's pets.

A. Absolutely, we warmly welcome children and families at Laight Mill.

Q8. Am I allowed to smoke?

A. Unfortunately smoking in the guest rooms is not permitted, however we have ample room outside for smokers to go outside and have a cigarette break.

Q9. How far is Laight Mill from an airport?

A. We are located 24 miles (40 km) from Prestwick airport and you can find information on how to get to use from the airport.

Q10. Do you have an en-suite bathroom?

A. We don't have en-suite facilities unfortunately but our bathroom is located directly between the 2 rooms and is large and very comfortable.

Q11. Can you cater for vegetarians?

A. If requested while booking, we are happy to prepare a breakfast that is suitable for vegetarians.

Q12. What time is breakfast served from?

A. Breakfast is usually available from 7:00am to 8:30am, but please let us know if you have any special requirements.

Q13. Are you able to cater for disabled guests?

A. Laight Mill's rooms are all located on the ground floor and the house has good wheelchair access, so accommodating for disabled guests is not a problem.

A. We have ample space outside the house for the parking of cars so this is not a problem.

Q15. Is there a television in the room?

A. Yes, there are televisions in both rooms along with a television in the lounge area which has additional satellite channels.

Q16. Do you have internet access?

A. Sadly, our rural location means that broadband internet access is not a possibility, however this may change in the future.

Q17. Are there tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms?

A. There is a kettle and cups in each room with a selection of teas and coffees.

Q18. Can I use any of the kitchen/dining room facilities?

A. We try to operate a relaxed and comfortable bed & breakfast and so allow our guests to use the kitchen to heat up food and eat in the dining room later in the evening. We only ask that they be sure to leave the kitchen and dining area clean once they have finished using it.
